My cheeks stain
As yet, again, I remember that man
He used to be mine
And if time had been kind
Might have still been
But it is what it was

I still feel his fingers tracing my skin
Branding me as his
Romancing each nook, cranny and curve
With a deliberate and delicate sweetness
Was his touch, his kiss
Damn, he was my addiction
There was no limit to where the loving unfolded
One day the bedroom
The next the kitchen
I think I’m going to have to go find that man who used to be mine
Maybe time will rewind
Or did I fail to mention
I was in need
An addict

Never giving mind to those female sneers and smiles so slick like molasses
She’d turn the corner, take out her Lipstick #09 and refresh for the next block
